TOOLS

What
I have learned from class or my colleges or friends
|
How
I can use it in my classroom
|
Reflection
|
Google Docs
|
Create documents and presentations in
Google drive. After class, share these materials with class by email or share
the link in Edmodo.
|
Shared the lesson material with
student, such as the key points of language structures typed in a note, the
presentation the used in the class.
|
When chatting with students, they
like this way of sharing as they can review the lessons or take notes when
they were at home. However, not every
student can assess Internet when they are at home.
|
Google Presentation
|
Students share the materials with me
by email or share the link with the class in Edmodo.
|
Students can share their content of
the group project, their 10-min presentation with me.
|
These materials function as a
database which allows me to see students’ development and show to newly
students as models. ---continue using
|
Google Docs
|
Students share their compositions
with me and I share my feedback at this weekend.
|
Edited students’ composition as well
as providing them with some written feedback.
|
In this case, there will be no
delayed of feedback if google docs are used, so students can read my feedback
as to correct their errors and improve their writing.
|
Google presentation
|
Students share their compositions
with me and I immediately share them with comments after school.
|
Ediedt students’ presentation and
providing them with some written feedback.
|
My purpose of the 10-min presentation
is to encourage students to speak in public, and because they can receive my
feedback before their presentation, they are more confident about themselves
and their presentation as well. ---continue using
|
Google Docs
|
Teach students how to create a google
doc and share the doc with their teammates. When they get back home, they can
open the link and do their work.
|
Encourage students to do more group
projects such as making a poster about protecting environment or writing
English plays.
|
Since the word processing and
presentation allow several people to work on a same document at the same
time, it is a cool way to allow them to work at home rather than face-to-face
meeting after school, to save students’ waiting time for other’s work.
|
Google Docs
|
Share reading materials and
instructions with class
|
Share materials as instructions to
students’ projects or share materials for students to read and writing
reflection when they are in their summer or winter holiday. Give them tasks
to do and tell them the deadline.
|
It can be used as flipped class. Even
in holiday, students can know what to do rather than playing computer games
for a whole day.
|
Google Spreadsheet
|
Create a spreadsheet. Create
questions about group name, handing time and the link of their homework.
Share the link and students will sent the completed form back.
|
Collect group project. Using the
spreadsheet to collect homework or project
|
Free me from carrying a heavy bag and
save these materials in computer.
|
Google Spreadsheet
|
Create a spreadsheet. Create
questions related to information that I want to get from new students, such
as their previous school, their favorite subject and their hobbies. And then
share the link by email or other ways with students.
|
Collect students’ basic information.
|
It will save me a lot of time typing
students’ information if giving a spreadsheet for students to complete before
the beginning of a new term.
